Purchasing Agent

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for managing and improving our procurement operations, utilizing SAP Business ByDesign (ByD), and developing a robust Qualified Vendor List (QVL). This role is ideal for someone who is process-driven, analytical, and ready to lead cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage all purchasing activities using SAP Business ByDesign

· Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors to build and maintain a Qualified Vendor List

· Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with domestic and international suppliers

· Ensure compliance with trade laws, tariffs, and freight cost calculations

· Align purchasing with inventory forecasts to minimize stockouts and excess inventory

· Generate procurement reports and track vendor performance

· Collaborate with internal teams (finance, production, engineering, and operations)

Requirements:

· 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

· Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP ByDesign preferred)

· Proven negotiation and vendor management skills

· Excellent data analysis, reporting, and organizational abilities

· Ability to work full-time on-site, Monday–Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with international purchasing and landed cost tracking

· Familiarity with supply chain compliance standards

· Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
