Whether your background is in carpentry, facilities maintenance, construction, painting, or the building trades, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Every day is a little different. Responsibilities include:
- Interior and exterior painting
- Light carpentry and general repairs
- Routine building and facility maintenance
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, tents, and displays
- Identifying maintenance issues before they become costly repairs
- Helping maintain the museum buildings and grounds so they remain welcoming for visitors
- Working with museum staff and volunteers on a variety of projects
Experience We'd Love to See
- General handyman or maintenance experience
- Painting and light carpentry skills
- Electrical and plumbing experience is a plus
The Person We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Is located close to the museum, who can be called on short notice.
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Appreciates historic buildings and helping preserve them for future generations
